The 2006 rules and regulations were approved by the GAC at the FAI/GAC meeting in Limassol, Cyprus in October 2005 and apply to events organised after 1 January 20065. The 2005 rules and regulations were approved by the GAC at the FAI/GAC meeting in Alecante in October 2004 an apply to events organised from 1 January 2005 to 31 December 2005.
