The 2007 South African Landing Championships
The second South African Landing Championships was held at Tempe
The event comprised four landings in different configurations. Penalties were be applied based on the distance from a zero area which is 2m wide. Additional penalties were added for abnormal landings and other infringements.
After the four landings Hans Schwebel retained his crown as the South African Landing Champion . Provincial colours were awarded to top finishers.

Speed and Altitude Records
The latest speed records have been awarded to Hans Schwebel and Ron Stirk for flights between Pretoria and Bloemfontein. Further claims have been submitted by Jan Hanekom for 3 different flights. These have ben submitted to the FAI for ratification.

The 2006 World Flying Championships
South Africa had mixed fortunes at the World Flying Championships held in France in July 2006. Ron Stirk is the new World Champion, the second time he has achieved this. South Africa were 4th in the Precision Championships and 9th in the Rally Competition.
